Chamber Music Institute

The Alcyon Chamber Ensemble (ACE), in partnership with the Nashoba Youth Orchestra (NYO), brings new opportunities for chamber music study to music students and to individuals in the community-at-large. All members of the ensemble are committed teachers as well as performers.

Anyone interested in playing in a chamber group (duo, trio, quartet or larger) is invited to register for a placement audition. Group placement will take into account each person’s level of ability. All levels are welcome. Pianists are encouraged to apply. Auditions are scheduled, starting in September for the Fall semester and again in February for the Spring semester. New applicants are being accepted now and will start as soon as groups are formed. Coaching sessions will be held on Mondays and Thursdays – others by appointment. Participant’s tuition includes thirteen coaching sessions, one dress rehearsal / performance class and one recital. Adults are welcome to register as well!

Cost:  $25 placement audition fee; 2011-12 rates are $325 per person (discounted rate for current NYO members).
