ACMI begins its second term on Feb. 4th

Alcyon Chamber Music Institute begins its second term this coming week beginning Feb. 4th with chamber music coaching sessions available on Monday and Friday afternoons and Thursday afternoons and evenings. Chamber music fills that wonderful space between one-on-one private lessons and the orchestral excitement of playing with others and being part of a larger whole. Chamber music sharpens our ears and senses to being independent with our individual parts while fitting in with others. Chamber music engages the whole person musically, intellectually and socially. We will create performing opportunities this Spring in and around Westford in libraries, nursing homes and pre-schools.

Next season’s 4-concert series (2013-14) by Alcyon Chamber Ensemble at the Parish Center for the Arts will highlight student performances. Chamber music instructors are Alcyon chamber musicians violinist Shufang Du and cellist Shannon Snapp, who are also available for private lessons

Are you an intermediate or advanced middle or high school violinist, violist or cellist? ACMI has an immediate placement for you. Sign up today. Are you a beginning string player?
